Homeopathy works on the idea that the cure for an ailment can be made directly from what has been causing the problem in the first place. For example, an animal with a flea allergy can be treated with a remedy made directly from the flea. Brett compares this natural alternative to a vaccine; the treatment works by desensitising the animal so that in future it doesn’t react so aggressively to ailment, be it fleas, a skin condition, behavioural problems or more severe conditions.
From his Henderson Clinic Brett began providing Homeopathic treatments since the early 1990’s and found it to be extremely beneficial, even in the most difficult cases. For example he treated a German shepherd with a prolapsed disc that had lost the use of its hind legs, bowel and bladder. Another vet had recommended euthanasia for the dog. But treated homeopathically the dog made a full recovery.
Even behavioural problems can be treated with natural medicine and Brett has used homeopathic remedies on agressive dogs turning them into loving pets.

Online video appointments currently cost $50 for up to 30 minutes. Telephone appoinments are $30. When you make a booking you will be sent an invoice for the appointment with a clickable link to to pay using your debit or credit card.
Online appointments are suitable for many non-critical conditions. Our online consultations are best suited for discussing pet health and well-being including vaccination, desexing advice and parasite control. Any behavioural issues including anxiety. Nutrition advice and concerns. And as a second opinion after having seen a vet in person.
Online consultations are not suitable for emergency care. If your pet is experiencing bleeding, difficulty breathing, seizures, collapse or the inability to pass you’re urine or faeces please seek immediate veterinary attention.
At present the law in New Zealand doesn’t allow veterinary prescriptions to be authorised or issued without the patient having been seen in person. This means we are not able to prescribe conventional drugs online.
However Homeopathic remedies are not subject to the same laws which means we can prescribe treatments for your pet.
Brett can offer consultations for dogs, cats, small mammals (including rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, mice, gerbils and chinchillas) and pet birds including parrots and poultry.
Brett also has extensive experience with large animals and offers consultations for horses, cows, sheep, goats and lamas.
No, you do not need to have a computer. It may be easier to attend online consultation from a computer but there’s no reason you couldn’t use your smartphone.

To get the most out of your online consultation have your pet with you and, if possible, have someone to assist you in holding your pet. Try to be in a quiet, well lit room and for small pets have them on a table as this will aid in the examination.
It also helps to have a computer or smartphone with a good quality camera and a high speed Wi-Fi connection.
